Anything can be put into a book

By Akilah Holder

I cannot sit by and not comment on the LGBTQIA issue. I cannot do it, not when I know that it is built on lies and gay rights advocates are bullying the rest of society into accepting those lies. I cannot do it. There is absolutely no truth in their assertions, and the assertions of their supporters, that human sexuality is fluid. That is nonsense, I don’t care if it’s in a book. Anything can be put into a book.  Racism was written in books.

In fact, in 1785, one of America’s founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson, published a book that would be widely read and respected in his time, ‘Notes on the State of Virginia’, in which he asserts as fact that whites are, in effect, superior to blacks.  In Query XIV of his book, he writes, “The first difference which strikes us is that of colour. Whether the black of the negro resides in the reticular membrane between the skin and scarfskin, or in the scarf-skin itself; whether it proceeds from the colour of the blood, the colour of the bile, or from that of some other secretion, the difference is fixed in nature, and is as real as if its seat and cause were better known to us. And is this difference of no importance? Is it not the foundation of a greater or less share of beauty in the two races?

“Are not the fine mixtures of red and white, the expressions of every passion by greater or less suffusions of colour in the one, preferable to that eternal monotony, which reigns in the countenances, that immoveable veil of black which covers all the emotions of the other race?…They secrete less by the kidnies, and more by the glands of the skin, which gives them a very strong and disagreeable odour. This greater degree of transpiration renders them more tolerant of heat, and less so of cold, than the whites. Perhaps too a difference of structure in the pulmonary apparatus, which a late ingenious* experimentalist has discovered to be the principal regulator of animal heat…”

In other words, Jefferson posits that blacks are physically inferior to whites and are akin to animals. None of that is true, but it was published because whites had the economic and political power at the time; and blacks, their slaves, could not resist or refute their assertions.

Also noteworthy is the medical theory of 19th century physician Samuel A. Cartwright, who in 1851, asserted that black slaves kept running away because of a medical condition called drapetomonia.  According to the Washingtonpost.com, Cartwright “…reported to the Medical Association of Louisiana that he had identified the malady and, by combining two Greek terms, given it a name: Drapetomania.

“Drapetes, a runaway, and mania, madness. “He also announced that it was completely curable. Negroes, with their smaller brains and blood vessels, and their tendency toward indolence and barbarism, Cartwright told fellow doctors, had only to be kept benevolently in the state of submission, awe, and reverence that God had ordained.”  Cartwright based his findings on the scientific assertions of his time, that those of African descent have smaller brains and blood vessels.  But none of that is true.  His assertions, like many others of that time, are what, as the Washington Post points out, American historians call scientific racism.  Yet, none of it is true.  It’s called pseudo-science.

Yet, such assertions were written into books and reported as fact. So as noted earlier, not because something is in a book, whether psychological, scientific or otherwise, it is true; and the LGBTQIA movement loves to cite books, science and otherwise, to support their cause.

But the human being can write whatever they want into a science textbook or any other text, as I have just pointed out, but that doesn’t make it true. If it doesn’t line up with true science, it’s a lie. Once babies continue to be born with penises and vaginas, there will only ever be two sexes.

It must be noted, that in the same way, white Americans were able to concretize their lies into books because of their financial and political power at the time, LGBTQIA activists have been able to concretize their lies into books because of the deep pockets of some in their community.

As Ecclesiastes 10:19 affirms, “money answers all things.”  So, there is no truth to these claims of the sexual fluidity of gender, just a minority of individuals with the financial clout to push through their agenda.

Therefore, even if they reference a scientific text or otherwise to support their claims, that text is built on lies.
