Carbon Health Expands Southern California Footprint Through Acquisition of MedPost Urgent Care

Acquisition brings clinic count to 120 nationwide and furthers the company’s commitment to making high-quality healthcare accessible

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Carbon Health, a leading national healthcare provider, today announced the acquisition of MedPost Urgent Care’s California clinics, spanning Orange County, Palm Desert, and Paso Robles. Carbon Health is focused on expanding its physical footprint through partnering with and acquiring local and regional practices, enabling them to provide the best quality of healthcare to the communities they serve.

“Everyone deserves good health, and increasing our footprint is a critical step towards that goal,” said Eren Bali, co-founder and CEO of Carbon Health. “We look forward to bringing our innovative, patient-centered healthcare to more people in Southern California.”

The acquisition of these MedPost clinics also accelerates Carbon Health’s goal of becoming the nation’s largest healthcare provider. Carbon Health now operates more than 120 primary and urgent care clinics nationwide and is one of the largest healthcare providers in Southern California with 45 clinics.

Carbon Health is tackling a massive systemic problem in U.S. healthcare–the extreme fragmentation of care–through unrivaled access via in-person clinics, virtual visits, and/or chat through the Carbon Health app; data-driven omnichannel care that leverages connected devices and the app to power continuous care; and a best-in-class proprietary EMR platform that unlocks seamless, patient-first care. This technology platform, in particular, is a key benefit to healthcare companies wishing to partner with or get acquired by Carbon Health since it is designed to reduce administrative workload and improve clinic operations, speed and efficiency. The platform enables providers to easily collect and connect health data for a holistic view on the patient, ultimately allowing them to focus on their patients instead of being sidetracked by endless paperwork or confusing online forms. Carbon Health also has a 92 percent offer acceptance rate for clinicians, with 50 percent coming in from internal referrals.
