Dialyze Direct Completes Acquisition of Compass Home Dialysis

BROOKLYN, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#AcquisitionDialyze Direct, the nation’s leading provider of home hemodialysis services in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), is pleased to announce that it has completed its previously announced acquisition of Compass Home Dialysis, a regional dialysis provider in Pennsylvania with on-site dialysis services in nine SNFs, as well as an outpatient dialysis clinic.

“We are thrilled to welcome Compass and its highly skilled staff to the Dialyze Direct team, and to be able to extend our cutting-edge services to their already exceptional level of patient care,” said Josh Rothenberg, President and Co-Founder of Dialyze Direct. “Our combined patient-first mentality made the decision to enter into an acquisition a very easy one. We are looking forward to continuing to expand the offering of our innovative, geriatric treatment plans to better the dialysis experience and outcomes for patients in SNFs across the nation.”

The Compass acquisition is part of Dialyze Direct’s strategic growth plan for this year. At the end of last year, it acquired Renew Dialysis, a regional SNF dialysis provider in Ohio and Virginia. Earlier this year, the company signed a Letter of Intent to collaborate with fellow dialysis provider Satellite Healthcare, which has attained the country’s highest rate of home dialysis usage among patients with end stage kidney disease. Those moves solidified Dialyze Direct’s position as the leading SNF dialysis provider in the United States, with on-site dialysis services in more than 150 SNFs in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

“Providing the highest level of care for patients is of utmost importance to Compass. That is why being acquired by Dialyze Direct, which is not only administering dialysis treatments, but also actively working to improve the effect of dialysis on patients, was an opportunity we could not pass up,” said Ari Karoly, Partner at Walnut Court Capital, Compass’ financial sponsor. “We are pleased that the partnership is finally official, and we can begin our collaboration to continue to provide better outcomes and quality of life for dialysis patients.”
