MJH Life Sciences™ Acquires Pharmaceutical Commerce®

Multimedia brand strengthens MJH’s portfolio and position in biopharma industry

CRANBURY, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#biopharma–MJH Life Sciences™ today announced it has acquired Pharmaceutical Commerce®, a multimedia platform published by Healthcare Commerce Media Corporation. This latest addition to the MJH portfolio strengthens the position of MJH Life Sciences™ in the biopharma industry.

“We look forward to tapping into a new market and formalizing relationships with biopharma executive decision-makers in the industry,” said Mike Hennessy Jr., president and CEO of MJH Life Sciences™. “The acquisition of Pharmaceutical Commerce® serves as a perfect complement to the publications already in our portfolio.”

Pharmaceutical Commerce® is a global resource for information about the industry, including frequent updates, repurposing of printed content and extensive web-only reporting and analysis. Its readily accessed archives are a valuable resource for industry professionals. The website also offers a platform for webinars, sponsored content and industry events.

Pharmaceutical Commerce® magazine, launched in 2005, is published four times a year and has a controlled circulation of 21,000. Subscribers include executives in pharmaceutical manufacturing, and contract research; wholesalers and distributors; logistic service providers; patient support organizations; internet technology service providers; advertising agencies; and consulting firms.

In addition, the platform publishes two e-newsletters, Value Chain and BioPharma Cold Chain, as well as the annual BioPharma Cold Chain Sourcebook, a comprehensive business and forecast spending guide to the world’s supply chain for temperature-sensitive drugs and biologics.

“Over the past 15 years, Pharmaceutical Commerce® has built up a vital audience of professionals who ensure the safe and cost-efficient distribution of pharmaceuticals, as well as the growing number of patient services that attend the dispensing of a prescription,” said Nicholas Basta, founder and editor in chief of the magazine. “It is enormously gratifying to me that MJH Life Sciences™ will carry this mission forward.”

Basta will be involved in the transition of the business through the end of 2020.
