More Mountains for Grant Lottering’s USA Im’Possible Tour:

Extreme endurance cyclist and athlete, Grant Lottering, completes days two and three, strong

NORFOLK, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–UHSM Health Share, a faith-based health care nonprofit founded on Christian beliefs and values, brings a day two update for audiences related to the progress of Grant Lottering’s first, Im’Possible, USA Tour. This update came in just before midnight in Ojai, California. Day two was all-around better than day one, with less unexpected elements, and Lottering reached the summit of Gibraltar Road and Mountain at 7:00 PM, just before sunset, perfectly aligned with the tour’s outlined plan. He has covered 378 miles (609 km) and has climbed just over 35,360 feet (10,740 m).

Since June 1, 2022, Lottering has slept for 1 hour and 15-minutes. Along his day one and day two-cycle ride, he takes a few short naps, sleeping just 40-minutes at a time in his sponsored Mercedes-Benz Vans USA support car. Day three will be challenging, with over five mountain top climbs expected and planned for the day. Grant Lottering reports via Instagram that while he has not showered in three days, one should “Look after your health, be preventative,” which includes “brushing them teeth,” as he takes time to brush his teeth on his tour!

From day one, Lottering has been supported by his crew, who followed along in his sponsored Mercedes-Benz Vans, and helped him climb over a few steep mountain passes. Lottering’s support team prepares snacks, water and tour-specific pit-crew support throughout the journey; his support crew consists of two vans, following closely alongside for support and safety on public roads.

Lottering has previously told audiences that, on his almost non-stop, extreme endurance tours, he focuses on the moment, his surroundings, support crew and prayer to get him through treacherous moments as he experienced on day two. All can certainly echo the immense fortitude attached to believing all things are possible through God; Grant always says Im’possible. Lottering always makes a special shoutout to his support crew, on-the-ground team and brother riding along with his team, and a special thanks to Ryan Cleek and his videography/documentary team for this tour. More information will be released later on related to the official Grant Lottering, USA Im’Possible Tour documentary, coming soon to audiences worldwide.

As a reminder to audiences just tuning in, he had to pivot early in the morning, day 1, June 1, when his starting location was closed due to a rockslide and a road closure. Grant and his team made their way to another mountain, just past Lake Huntington, CA, to start his route for the first day. Lottering and his team reported a crash as he hit a gravel patch during descent but was thrilled to report that a bush supported his fall. Lottering got back onto his bike and made good progress on the first day.

He gives fans updates and photos via social media, particularly on his Instagram. Fans can follow along and view his latest updates as they happen. The path ahead for extreme endurance, cycling athlete Grant Lottering, includes a 700-mile cycle along the Mission Trail in California, peaking over ten different mountaintops, acting as a metaphor for overcoming one’s obstacles in life. Lottering began his inaugural US Im’possible Tour on June 1 with a projected finish of June 4.

Grant Lottering is an international motivational speaker and an Ambassador of UHSM and Laureus Sport for Good USA. He also holds special recognition and / or partnership with Mercedes-Benz Vans, South Africa; Mercedes-Benz Vans, USA; Giant Cycles; Arcsona; Fitbod; Athletic Brew, non-alcoholic beer; Thrive Christian Conferences; and Pray.com, all benefiting the Laurus Sport for Good USA’s message of fostering youth through sport.

After miraculously surviving a cycling accident requiring 12 surgeries and later emergency cancer treatment, Lottering would go on to do the impossible by completing multiple extreme cycling events for charity dubbed the Im’possible Tours. Over European mountains and across South Africa, he continues to astonish the medical profession and audiences alike, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for underprivileged children worldwide. Lottering’s remarkable story and life journey inspire and challenge audiences to be resilient and persevere in the face of adversity, reaching over 90 million people globally. For his latest Im’possible Tour, sponsored by UHSM, Lottering will attempt a 700-mile non-stop traverse, climbing 63,000 feet through Southern California.
