Pathway to transparency and trust for CBI investors with Bayat Group

DUBAI, UAE – Bayat Group

Today, we have Bayat Group, Chief Executive Office (CEO) and Founder, Sam Bayat, and Managing Director, Pej Mohyeddin. They are both exceptional leaders having a big hand in the company’s success.

Sam Bayat is a Quebec (Canadian) licensed attorney, a published author, and a lecturer experienced in international law. Bayat was the former president of the Canadian bar association’s international section in Quebec.

Bayat Legal Service was founded in the year1993 by Sam Bayat a leading migration lawyer for the first time in the GCC. With 30 years of experience and many offices worldwide, it makes Bayat legal services one of the most distinguished professional companies headquartered in Dubai.

His company Bayat Group is celebrating 30 years of its existence. Upon this, Bayat says: “If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door. Bayat Group is that door I built 30 years ago; opportunity does knock now!” We wanted to capture the essence of Bayat Group, so we decided to interview both of them. Let’s see how it goes.

“Explain the background of you and the Company in detail.” We asked.

Here, Bayat says: “I got the idea to start Canadian Legal Services in the year 1993. I wanted to promote Canada as a destination of choice regarding investment or migration. At that time, I had named it “Canadian Legal Services.”

Mohyeddin says: “Bayat Group is a boutique law firm practice based in Dubai, UAE. We have an international presence with offices in Canada, Georgia, Turkey, Dominica, Saint Lucia, and Pakistan, and we work with a vast network of legal professionals and trade consultants.”

After knowing how they are in touch with a wide array of professionals, we were curious to know their expertise. Bayat says: “Our core expertise is economic citizenship, investments, corporate migration, and tax planning.”

Continuing with a primary objective in mind

Every business has a goal-driven business process. If they have a goal, they have a motivation that keeps them moving forward. As a result, we wanted to know what goals kept Bayat Group on the way to success. Hence, we asked them, “What are your goals?”

They replied: “Our primary objective is to be the Middle East’s most distinguished migration/citizenship law firm and to understand and help all those individuals and families with a global ambition to settle in more secure locations worldwide.”

We also asked, “What was the path you/your company took to get to where you are today?”

Bayat replied: “I migrated from the Middle East to Canada in the early 70s. In 1993, I set up a boutique law practice in Dubai to promote Canada as a destination of choice for investment or migration. The firm, then known as ‘Canadian Legal Services,’ was the first Canadian law firm in the GCC. We could continue on this path through passion, hard work, and team integrity and achieve what we have today.”

Mohyeddin quotes: “We choose to go to the moon and do these other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.” – John Fitzgerald Kennedy. According to him, the courage to continue got Bayat Group to this position.

The beginning of the journey

“We understood how it started, but why did you start this company?” We asked Bayat.

“I could see a lot of educated individuals aspiring to relocate to Canada for a better lifestyle and education for themselves and their children. To fill this vacuum, I started Canadian Legal services to help people migrate for a better lifestyle and a good future for their siblings.

While migration impacts development, economic conditions are important drivers of migration. People migrate for a variety of reasons, including the search for better economic opportunities, education, family reunion, and escaping violence. People often migrate for a combination of these and many other reasons.” shares Bayat.

“What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome?”

Bayat replied: “As a founder and CEO, our major challenge was to gain trust and correct the situation for our new and potential customers who were fed with wrong information, which we had to deal with a lot of caution and care.”

When we asked Bayat and Mohyeddin to share a word that describes them best, they had to say, “Transparent (and committed)!”

“What makes you excited about Mondays?” Our next question.

Well, “Sometimes it just turns out that way…” a lovely song by The MAMAS &THE PAPAS says Bayat.

We further asked, “What do you value most about your culture and vision?”

They said, “Transparency. Trust and integrity. Teamwork. Employee engagement and opportunities for advancement. Professionalism. Diversity.”

Commitment towards business and overcoming challenges

“What are your company’s strategies, and how do they stand unique from your competitors?” We asked.

Their response was: “We stay focussed and committed. Our clients trust us, and none of them are misled. That is our edge!”

We also wanted to know how they overcame challenges along their business path. With that, they replied, “We believe in equal opportunities for all. We are the custodians of law as per the mandate offered by the respective governments we represent. We invariably extend the same to the benefit of our discerning clients as the main core value.

Advising our discerning clients honestly and establishing integrity, accepting responsibility, and respecting their final decision is the fundamental value system we dwell in.

It is the core essence of our professionalism to maintain our client’s privacy at all times and guide them to achieve what they have approached us for.”

Future changes and leadership in the competitive world

“How do you see the company changing in two years, and how do you see yourself creating that change?” We asked Sam.

He says: “Every entrepreneur wants to be like Bill Gates. Being our 30th year of migration business, we firmly believe a job well done so far, and we see ourselves bringing about more insight and professional approach to invest in the future and make citizenship by economic investment more interesting.”

We also wanted to know the leadership type of Sam Bayat. When we asked him about how his leadership was going, he said:

“Our take is simple. We provide excellent monetary and holistic value to our clients. We survive on Honesty, Transparency, Integrity, Responsibility, and Lots of Trust.”

Lastly, we asked them about their services.

“In simple terms, we provide excellent and professional services for Citizenship, Residency, Migration, Tax Planning, and much more as a Law firm,” says Mohyeddin.
